Our price

We have a simple pricing structure: UNIX Health Check software is available for licensing at a price of 3,995 USD, for either UNIX Health Check for AIX or for UNIX Health Check for Red Hat Enterprise Linux. This license is valid for a full year and includes software updates and technical support. The price is for a site license of one year, and as such, both products can be installed on as many UNIX servers/instances as you wish as long as these UNIX servers are owned by the same organization for which the license was purchased, and as long as all these UNIX servers are located within the same country.

If you license both products, UNIX Health Check for AIX and UNIX Health Check for Red Hat Enterprise Linux, a multiple product discount of 20% will apply.

UNIX Health Check software licenses include technical support, and updates to our software for the duration of the license period.

Any licenses are governed by the following license agreement:

Save money

Besides our price, far more interesting is the cost saved by using software of UNIX Health Check. In a recent IDC study on server related costs, it was clearly shown that not buying the actual hardware, not the power and cooling of the servers, but the manpower needed to manage the systems is the largest part of costs associated with running UNIX servers, along with the mistakes made by human beings. A tool that makes managing UNIX systems easier, quicker and automtes system scanning is needed to reduce costs; it helps standardize the server configuration, and results in less downtime for servers. The more best practices are applied to UNIX servers, the better they'll run, and the less downtime will occur. As a result, the UNIX administrators can manage a larger number of systems, and can focus on more important tasks and/or projects. That will help in bringing down cost of managing servers, and help avoid costly downtimes.

Restrictions

UNIX Health Check can only be used on all UNIX servers owned by one company or any of its subsidiaries within a single country. It is not allowed to use the software on any UNIX servers that are not assets of the same company for which a license of UNIX Health Check was acquired.

UNIX Health Check for AIX can only be used on systems that run the IBM AIX operating system. UNIX Health Check for Red Hat Enterprise Linux can only be used on systems that run the Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system.

We are an outsourcing company. Can we use UNIX Health Check software?

If your company owns all the hardware that runs UNIX, even though it is in use for multiple customers, yes you certainly can. There's no need to purchase multiple copies from UNIX Health Check for either UNIX Health Check for AIX and/or UNIX Health Check for Red Hat Enterprise Linux. If your company manages and maintains the servers of several customers, either at a customer site, or within a company-owned data center, but the physical hardware and servers are assets of the customers, each of your customers' needs to purchase their own license from UNIX Health Check.

We are a consulting company. Can we use UNIX Health Check software?

If your company does consulting efforts for customers, e.g. performing one-time health checks of client servers, then UNIX Health Check software is an excellent tool to use. You would only have to purchase a license once for either UNIX Health Check for AIX or for UNIX Health Check for Red Hat Enterprise Linux, or both, and it can be run on any AIX and/or Red Hat Enterprise Linux server of any customer. The UNIX Health Check software needs to be removed from the customers' servers as soon as the consulting effort is complete (as in: go in, run UNIX Health Check software / produce the report, remove the software).
